Got a few in the last week and was impressed with the quality...
Mirror finish and some nice stamping on the rest

I loved my Sunshine Coors Light bar. I hated having to sell it. Nice stuff!

You're right, they're totally gorgeous. Is it just the camera or is the ten ounce bar missing the serial number? I can see the rectangle for it but it looks blank.

(By the way Melbo, out of all the avatars on this forum I like yours best. The first time I saw it I laughed so hard I almost p***** on myself, LOL)

Sunshine Minting

or,

Sunshine Mining

Either works for me.

Bring it by my house and I'll work it over with a hammer. It'll still be worth the same amount at the refiner, which is who you should eventually sell to.

My personal mantra:
  • Die only at the hand of a jealous husband
  • Sell only to a desperate refiner

I agree, I've got a couple of Bars in 1s and 10s and a 1 oz Round or two...

I've got this picture saved as my desktops background

I have never been able to get my hands on any of the 5 oz Bars or the 10 oz rounds... or the Really Big Bars....

But they all sure look nice.....

If I am not mistaken, they also make the planchet for the Silver American Eagles made at the U.S. Mint.

Quite a few of my bars lack serial number, but as the bars come from a dealer with 100% rock solid reputation, I've never worried about this... Anyone have specific info on why some bars have serial numbers and others dont?

The latest rounds that I bought from Sunshine have more of a satin finish, not the mirrored finish like the photo above. Oh well, I still like them!

Re: Sunshine Mint, Constitution

I like the sunshine bars that say "No state shall make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts" on the reverse. The constitution had a lot going for it.....

Not any more.

None of mine have Serial #s....

Good point Drill and Fill. I don't usually ooh and ahh over my metal but I hadn't seen these before and most of my bars are a little rough looking.

You can see the trees reflection in the finish....

Who carries these bars online? They look really nice. Enticing you might say :)

FWIW - I've seen earlier bars with serial numbers (1980's) and newer ones without........I imagine that anything 10-oz. or less is not worth the extra effort to stamp a serial # on it.:bandito:

Yes, only small amounts, but that's how I buy. Never had any problems with them.

I called the Sunshine mint directly, and they sell bullion but for silver it is in lots of 500 ounces, but their prices are fair. :proud: Much better than those on eBay. People will pay 20% + shipping above spot price for these bars.

I just picked up two 50 oz bars from the American Coin Company out of Spokane, Wa. 800.736.3215 if anyone is interested.

I picked up a 5 oz. bar last week. It looks like it's been around for a while. A little scuffed up. But it's still a very nice piece of metal!
